Now more than ever we need to feel proud of our heritage and culture while the world around us continues to devalue us. I was inspired to create clothing and accessories that made me feel proud to be a black woman and showed black and afrocentric cultural pride stylishly with the intention that other women, men, and children could share that feeling.  I also wanted to set an example for my children to show them that they can follow their dreams. That is how CIK Apparel was born.
